The process is an intense 18 month self-examination and portfolio documentation of the program and its staff and student outcomes for that period. Alternative programs are established to accommodate different learning styles of students who might be at-risk of dropping out unless offered an equal but different educational program that is just as rigorous but approaches learning the same things in different ways from the mainstream classes.
