Quality At-Risk Education Programming Seminars

BOSTON Seminars Sponsored by The National At-Risk Education Network
Embassy Suites at Boston Logan Airport

Discounts

If you attend both seminars, you will receive a 10% discount, or $270 for both seminars. Please sign up for both at the same time.

If, using the registration form below (whether paying by check or PO), you sign up 3-5 people for one or both seminars, there is a 5% discount. If 5 or more sign up on the same form, a 10% discount is allowed. This discount applies whether attending one seminar or both.

For example: If, say, 3 people are attending both seminars, that would be:
$900 - 10% = $810

And they would receive a further 5% for their group rate, and then the total cost would be:
$810 - 5% = $769.50

For example: If, say, 6 people are attending both seminars, that would be:
$1800 - 10% = $1620

And they would receive a further 10% for their group rate, the total cost being:
$1620 - 10% = $1458

NOTE: There are no discounts on the graduate credit rates as that is paid to an outside party, Marian University. Each person desiring a graduate credit must pay $210 separate from the conference fees.

Refunds

Refunds must be applied for prior to October 1st. 75% will be refunded up until that time. There can be none after September 30th.

A great opportunity to develop staff early in the year, helping educators to be 100% more effective in facilitating the growth of not only at-risk youth but all students.

Both seminars will be led by Anthony Dallmann-Jones, author of the popular book, SHADOW CHILDREN — Understanding Education's #1 Problem. He is also the designer with his colleague, David Boers, of the first accredited Master's Degree in At-Risk Education in the United States. Marian University, where Dr. Dallmann-Jones is a full professor, launched a thriving online degree program, Fall of 2007, titled Master of Arts in Differentiated Instruction for At-Risk Learners (DIAL).

Dr. Dallmann-Jones has worked with staffs eager for improving their work with ARK (at-risk kids) all over the United States from Maine to Florida and from Massachusetts to California. His goal: To help create a profession of angel-warrior educators who will retrieve our other youth before they are totally lost.

Candid Photos from Conference 2008

February 19-21, 2008
Edgewater Beach Resort, Panama City, Florida

The theme for our 5th Annual NAREN National Conference in Panama City, Florida, was Successful Strategies and Programs. At the conference were colleagues sharing their success in a highly-charged, powerful atmosphere where there were over 20 inspiring field-tested models, programs and teaching methods that work well with at-risk youth.

Frank Kros & Brain

The conference started off with a bang — literally! Thunderstorms with tremendous lightning and tornado warnings welcomed conference goers into Panama City Airport on Sunday the 17th of February. The next day it was 70 degrees and sunny as all get out. Go figure. None of this phased this years attendees who again set a record for the 4th straight year in attendance. The theme, "Successful Strategies and Programs", set a postiive atmosphere and all had a wonderful energizing time. Definitely the huge hit of the conference besides the amazing "palm tree weather" was Frank Kros, who performed a keynote, led a workshop, and added a breakout seminar. His stock could not have been higher as all were overwhelmed with gratitude for Frank's dedication, wisdom, humble insights and beautifully delivered presentations. Frank's specialty is brain-based research and how it impacts at-risk youth.

Frank Kros & Group

Over 23 presentations were met with appreciation, and explosive laughter and applause.
