The National Success Academy (NSA) is a proven program that is designed to provide online courses to at-risk and other youth, and any person who wants to increase their chances for a lifetime of success.

Through its well designed online courses NSA provides the knowledge and skills it takes to improve students' chances for obtaining good jobs so they can have a better future. The National Success Academy offers a complete line of courses in a "ready to serve" format that allows students to work independently or with a tutor, to increase their proficiency in math, science, or the humanities, help prepare them for a variety of tests (including the SAT, TOEFL, GRE or GMAT), pursue careers in Information Technology, Business Management, or Website Development.

At-risk youth do not need special education. They need differentiated education. They need learning tailored to their needs and interests, and more focus on careers after high school (and sometimes, unfortunately, before graduation) rather than focusing solely on attending college. We sometimes do these students a disservice by ignoring their need for career preparation. NAREN and the National Success Academy will help your students learn and get them ready for the world of work.

Think of the difference between walking into an interview for a job that consists of filling out a job application form and then waiting for a call, and that of walking into a job interview with a National Success Academy binder filled with NSA certificates of mastery in specific skill areas such as Information Technology, Business Management or Web Site Development. The interviewee will be confident. They will know they are well prepared and that they have the knowledge and skills to enter their field of choice. Rather than looking for a "quick fix" of a job — any job — they are looking for a career opportunity and they will be prepared for it.

How It Works

A registration fee of $50 per student is paid, plus $120 per ID Number (or ID#). An ID# is attached to a specific student. Once the student has an ID# and a password they can enter the package of courses decided upon by both teacher and student after considering what is best for the student. Each grouping of courses has many lesson modules. If someone wishes to take Business Management and IT Professional courses, they would get two ID#s, one for entering Business Management and another for entering the IT Pro section. Most students just need one or two related areas. Again, there is only one $50 Registration Fee per year per student, but students may have more than one ID# because each ID# is bound to a specific course grouping, each costing $120.

For example, Business Management has 104 courses in Business Skills, 62 courses in Home and Small Business Management, 45 courses in Project Management, 222 courses in Personal Career Development Workshops, and courses in Executive Development. Each of these course groupings would normally equate with five separate curricula at your local junior college or technical college. Each curricula at the local junior college would cost approximately $400 in tuition.

NSA offers each course grouping for only $120. The student has 12 months from the date of ID# issuance to complete whatever courses in the course grouping he or she is studying. The $120 is a flat fee. Unless there is a special offer made by NAREN, one 12-month ID# costs $120 regardless of how many months are used.

Classes are delivered solely over the Internet. Schools must supply students with a computer and web access. Online live help is available per ID# (course package) for an extra $50 — this mentor is available 24/7 for the entire year for the individual student per course package.
